The Legacy Project: The power of community

The Legacy Project enables you to leave a perpetual gift to those organizations and institutions in whose hands the future of this community lies - our synagogues, healthcare institutions, agencies and schools. We'll work with you to help secure the future of those institutions and organizations which have touched your life.

The Legacy Project is not a cash campaign; it does not solicit funds. Rather, it builds on a promise - a deferred gift (bequest, life insurance) - one that is planned today and realized after your lifetime.

What this means for our community is we can actively take charge of our future; planning today to help ensure the vitality and viability of our institutions.

How you can participate
Participating in the Legacy Project is simple. All it takes is vision and a promise - to leave a deferred gift to the organizations or programs which have touched your life.

Will bequest

The Will is an expression of final intentions and remains the easiest and most popular way to make a gift.

Gift of life insurance

A gift of life insurance offers a market return on your funds, maintenance of capital for your family, estate tax savings and a substantial gift to the community. The endowment fund established through the proceeds can be used to support the Legacy Project partner(s) of your choice.

Charitable remainder trust

Benefit now, be a benefactor later. This plan enables you to create a legacy in your own name, but retain a life interest which generates income to meet your immediate needs.

Your legacy can provide an annual gift to any charitable organization – at roughly the same dollar value you’re giving now.
Do the math.
